As a joint venture of Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), Chennai and Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore, ‘Tailoring Training’ is being offered during this financial year (2018-19) for 250 rural women who are unemployed and economically backward.
As a first quarter training:
On 31.7.2018 and 1.8.2018, inauguration of the tailoring courses were carried out by officials of CPCL, Sri T Damodaran and Sri D Kamaraj, along with the Monks of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Swami Sahanananda and Swami Jnanapurnananda at six different centres, namely, Thekkupalayam, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya (FDMSE), Palamalai, Gopanari, Kannarpalyam and Rajunagar in and around RKM Vidyalaya.
Among the six centres the Palamali and Gopanari centres are fully covering the tribal of the area. Whereas, the main centre is covering differently abled six special children.
It is first of its kind in Vidyalaya that the tailoring training to special children of FDMSE is designed to cover very simple exercises, which would enable them to build ‘self confidence’.
During this 1st quarter, 116 people (including the 6 special children) are being trained by six trainer teachers. At the end of the training, the trainees will be given a certificate with the emblem of CPCL, Chennai.
